Duping a solid piece for money is faster and more available to low level characters. Most just want another copy of a unique piece. I like to dupe jyggalag s sword so I can keep the weird lump thing and still have the sword too along with the conjuration tomes. Duping the Champions Cudgel to get a chaos enchant early is also a good move.
