The same exact thing happened to me yesterday, so we’re scrambling to find a hotel. The Airbnb was less than a mile from Douglass Park, and any hotel/moderately priced Airbnb we get is gonna be at least 3 miles out. Decent hotels are running between $150-$350 per night for that weekend, so we’re gonna shoot for one of those. Book ASAP.Chicago Native here: Logan square and wicker park are cool areas to stay, you’ll be by a ton of breweries in Logan and wicker park is a nice area but has become very trendy, Milwaukee Ave has a lot of shopping/good mix of bars. Neither is a bad place if it’s your first time visiting Chicago. Lakeview and Lincoln park are a mix of post grad ... The open bar includes water and soda. Which those are also over priced at the fest, or the free water is by the entrance which is a walk from the stages. Also AC bathrooms. Flushing toilets.
