My aunt and uncle thought planting bamboo by their pool for privacy was a good idea. 20 years later, the bamboo has literally taken over everything and just towards over the pool. Better tie build a fence or plant some evergreen arborvitae for privacy than Bamboo. Other option is putting up some lattice and plant a few climbers.
