Disconnect the throttle cable from inside the handlebar throttle assembly and disconnect the cable. Remove the choke switch housing (2 screws) from the handlebar. Now you can twist the carb and pull back to give you better access to to the cables. Now you can easily get a wrench on the plastic nut and remove the choke cable.
